Strikeborn Tier List

Free to play · 2 ranked kits · 2 unranked slots

An honest Strikeborn tier list is short: the current build has exactly 2 finished characters, so they share S-tier by default — there is nothing else finished to rank them against. The two remaining select-screen slots are not complete kits, and this list deliberately refuses to rank them: D-tier still means "a real character who lost", and a slot with no full kit is not a character yet. Gon took a step forward in v0.2.0 (a real base move, Janken Scissors, with 3 variants), but one skill is not a kit. That also means a Strikeborn "tier list" is really a starter-pick decision — which complete kit fits your device and your hands.

S-tier — the complete kits

Unranked — not complete yet

Best starter pick by device

Pick Yuji if…

  • You play mobile, or you have never labbed a slow heavy in a battlegrounds game.
  • You want the fastest path into air combos — quicker M1s mean uppercut converts happen more often.
  • You like counter buttons: his kick works as both a swing and a counter.

Pick Guts if…

  • You play PC with shift lock and you enjoy spacing more than scrambling.
  • You want the kit creators are already inventing named tech for (look-down kick, air slot 4, Carnage Grip).
  • You think a greatsword on a cliff is the entire aesthetic pitch of the game — and you are correct.

Controller

Yuji first unless you already play heavies in other fighters — dead zones eat Guts' uppercuts. Flatten the stick during the M1 string.

How this list will grow

When a third complete character ships, this page adds a third S-tier branch the same day the kit is verifiable — the unfinished slots will graduate to real rows only when they become real characters. Until then: Yuji or Guts, everything else is in progress. Depth for both picks lives in the combat guide and the Yuji / Guts character pages, and the Free to Play guide covers the age gate and join fixes before you queue up on Roblox.
