Identity
Vessel Sorcerer is the playable Yuji character in Strikeborn and one of the two finished kits in the free-to-play build. He is the character you should pick first if you want to learn the game rather than win a spacing argument. His M1 string is faster than Guts' greatsword, his kick can be used both as a regular swing and as a counter, and his air-friendly skills keep a juggle alive if you follow the uppercut on time. Like everything in the roster, his skills are not officially named yet — treat any move list you see elsewhere as community shorthand, not patch-note fact. There is no Sukuna awakening form in the live build; if you see one in a video, it is from a different game or an edit.
Observed tools
No invented numbers: SSSStudio has not published cooldowns or damage for any skill. Names are showcase or community shorthand unless noted.
Quicker punches than the greatsword with a string that converts upward. Confirm whether your third or fourth hit launches before you commit — the string ends in a down slam, so auto-completing it buries opponents and drops your air route.
One kick works as both a regular attack and a counter. It is not an invincible button — it is a guess that does not completely whiff when you guess wrong.
Skills with air versions that keep the juggle going after an uppercut. Jump or dash with the opponent as they pop up, use one tested aerial skill, then M1 again while you still have height.
Dashes with pip regen, wall jumps onto the cliffs, and jump pads — the same movement layer every complete kit uses.
How Yuji Itadori feels in a real lobby
In a 1v1 pocket, Yuji turns a single mistake into an air ride. In a 100-player lobby he is fast enough to tag someone and dump them toward the ravine before a third party arrives. He loses patience wars against a Guts who holds max range on open stone, and wins once he gets inside the sword's hilt — so pick ruins, walls and pads over open courtyards.
Evidence & notes
- Skill names are not official; the community has not settled labels yet.
- No awakening / Sukuna form exists in the live build (as of Aug 30, 2026).
- Evidence: launch-week showcases and 1v1 sessions from Gamma, Bugzby and TOUGH.

Gon — the unfinished slot
The Gon slot is the fourth portrait on the select screen and still not a complete kit — but it is moving: the v0.2.0 update added his first real base move, Janken Scissors, with 3 variants. One skill does not make a character, so the slot stays unranked and unreviewed for now.
S-tier complete kitGuts — Black Swordsman
The complete greatsword kit with the longest M1s in the build, a named command grab (Carnage Grip), the Devastation awakening move added in v0.2.0, air variants on two skill slots, and the look-down kick tech — the reason the cliff screenshots look like a real game.
Unfinished slotJinchuriki — the Naruto slot
The Jinchuriki slot on the character select screen is a portrait you can click, not a kit you can main. It still plays as an M1-only dummy with no skill bar, no air layer and no ultimate — the v0.2.0 update added a skill to Gon but nothing for this slot.
